What is perpetual memorial care
永代供養とは、ご遺族に代わって寺院が末永くご供養をお守りする仕組みです。
お墓の継承者がいらっしゃらない場合や、
ご遺族がご遠方にお住まいの場合にもご安心いただけます。
済渡寺は奈良時代に行基が草庵を結び、
弘法大師が開山した約1200年の歴史を持つ曹洞宗の寺院です。
標高450メートルの深山に佇むこの寺で、
大切な方を静かにお守りいたします。
Eitai Kuyō is a system in which the temple takes on the responsibility of perpetual memorial care on behalf of the family. It offers peace of mind for families who have no successor to tend the grave, or who live far away.
Saidouji Temple, founded by the monk Gyōki in the Nara period and formally established by Kōbō Daishi, carries over 1,200 years of history as a Sōtō Zen temple. Nestled at an elevation of 450 meters in the deep mountains, this is a place of quiet dignity where your loved ones will be watched over in perpetuity.

Kesagake no Matsu
The pine tree planted by Kōbō Daishi
境内には、弘法大師が自ら植えたとされる「袈裟掛けの松」がありました。
残念ながら数年前にマツクイムシの被害により初代の松は枯れてしまいましたが、
現在はその碑の傍らに二代目の松が植えられ、
弘法大師の想いを受け継いでいます。
朝霧の中、この碑の前に朝日が差し込む風景は、
訪れる方々の心を深く打つ幻想的な光景です。
Within the temple grounds stands the site of "Kesagake no Matsu" — a pine tree said to have been planted by Kōbō Daishi himself. Though the original tree was lost to pine wilt disease several years ago, a second-generation pine now grows beside the memorial stone, carrying forward the spirit of the great master.
On misty mornings, when sunlight streams through the fog to illuminate this memorial, the scene is profoundly moving — a sight that touches the hearts of all who witness it.
