Why Saidouji
What makes our prayers special
弘法大師がこの法曽の地を訪れた際、
当時の農民から「この地では死産難産が多い。安産の仏様を創って欲しい」と頼まれ、
一刀三礼しながら子安観音を創って祀ったと伝えられています。
それ以来、死産難産が無くなり、多くの方がこの子安観音にお参りされ今日に至ります。
When Kōbō Daishi visited this land of Hōso, the local farmers implored him: "Many women here suffer stillbirths and difficult deliveries. Please create a Buddha of safe childbirth." He carved the Koyasu Kannon with deep reverence — one chisel stroke, three bows — and enshrined it at this temple. Since then, the hardships of childbirth ceased, and the Koyasu Kannon has been venerated by countless families to this day.

How to receive your prayer
ご予約
基本的に前日までにご予約ください。
お電話・メール・お問い合わせフォームにて承ります。
（子安観音大祭日は予約不要です）
本堂前の大梵鐘をおつきください。
本堂内にお入りください。
出産されるご夫婦の住所・氏名・干支（生年月日）・出産予定日を伺います。
ご祈祷の品物をご提出ください。
（例：ご自身でご購入の腹帯、赤ちゃん用品など）
ご祈祷（約15〜20分）
ご祈祷の品物をお渡しします。
Make a reservation
Please contact us by the day before your visit.
By phone, email, or contact form.
(No reservation needed on the annual Koyasu Kannon Festival day.)
Ring the great temple bell in front of the main hall.
Enter the main hall.
Provide the couple's address, names, zodiac signs (dates of birth), and expected due date.
Present any items you wish to have blessed.
(e.g. maternity belts, baby items you have purchased)
The prayer ceremony (approx. 15–20 minutes)
Receive your blessed items.

いずれも子安観音の御加護が込められた品々です。
After the prayer ceremony, you will receive the following five sacred items, each carrying the blessing of our Koyasu Kannon.
妊娠を望まれる方のための子宝祈願も承っております。
ご祈祷の流れ・料金は安産祈願と同じですが、
お渡しする品は安産祈願と同じ5点です。
We also offer fertility prayers for those hoping to conceive.
The ceremony and fee are the same as for safe childbirth prayers, The same five sacred items are provided.
Annual Festival
Koyasu Kannon Grand Festival
毎年6月最終日曜日に開催。
この日は予約不要で安産祈祷をお受けいただけます。
安産祈祷のほか、家内安全などのご祈祷も行います。
Held on the last Sunday of June each year.
No reservation required — simply come and receive your prayer.
In addition to safe childbirth prayers, other blessings such as family safety are also offered.
